Sustainable company
We take responsibility for the effects of our business activities on people, the environment and business operations. We make conscious choices to achieve a balance between these three important elements. For example, our waste stream is processed into animal feed by a GMP+-certified company and we use FSC-certified cardboard as much as possible to minimise the impact on deforestation.
Energy consumption is reduced as much as possible and raw materials are of sustainable origin as much as possible. Employee welfare is important for us and social organisations are selectively supported.
Sustainable cultivation
Rainforest Alliance Certified
At the customer’s request, we use Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa and hazelnuts. For this, we are audited annually by SGS. The Rainforest Alliance Certified label has set up a sustainability programme for farmers growing coffee beans, cocoa beans and tea. Rainforest Alliance Certified focuses on professionalising farmers’ farming practices, improving workers’ social services, farmers’ economic progress and environmental management. Rainforest Alliance Certified traceability system ensures that raw materials have actually been grown responsibly. Their mission is to create a world where sustainable cultivation is the norm.

RSPO SCC Group Certification
By using palm oil certified by Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), we can help reduce the negative impacts of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities. Ravensbergen Food is RSPO SC certified (certificate number: CU-RSPO SCC-828058-33) and can supply RSPO certified products based on the Segregated (SG) and Mass Balance (MB) RSPO supply chain model.
